Dr. Lisenby is a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician who joined the new AOA Immediate Care clinic in August 2023.
Dr. Lisenby was born and raised in Wichita, KS and graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed his family medicine residency followed by his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Kansas - Via Christi here in Wichita. During fellowship training he was able to gain a wide range of skills in non-operative orthopedics and MSK ultrasound.
Since finishing fellowship his career has included several years working in the urgent care and working locum tenens in local hospitals/ER's across the state of Kansas. He has experience in caring for professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes as well as the workforce. He specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of acute and chronic MSK injuries, injury prevention, and treating athletes of all ages.
Outside of his professional activities Dr. Lisenby enjoys exercising, outdoor activities, spending time with family, and anything sports!
